Alan is married to his wife, Melissa and they live in Huntsville, TX.  He started working ponies as a teenager growing up in Pennsylvania.  He then switched to Morgan horses, then Belgian draft horses, and has recently started working Suffolk Punch horses.  Alan enjoys working his Suffolks with various farm equipment and also trail riding.  Alan also collects and rebuilds horse drawn farm equipment.  He has been a member of TDHMA since 2004 and is currently serving as President of the organization.

Doug and his wife, Debbie, live in Alvin, TX.  Doug grew up in Mississippi but came to Texas as soon as he could! Doug met Debbie in 2004 and proposed to her while she was showing her Percheron, Samson, at the TDHMA Annual Show in the Ride-A-Draft class. They have been heavily involved in TDHMA literally from the beginning of their marriage! Doug enjoys driving his Percherons and has been a member of TDHMA since 2004.  He currently serves as Vice President.

Debbie and her husband, Doug, live in Alvin, TX. Debbie has been riding since she was a young child, first with ponies, then light horses and finally draft horses! They have 4 Percherons that they ride and drive. Debbie became involved with TDHMA in 2003 after she bought her first Percheron draft horse, Samson. Debbie has been serving as Secretary/Treasurer since 2010 and enjoys doing what she can to promote TDHMA as an enjoyable and thriving club.  

Scott Brace and his wife, Debz, live in Atascocita TX, and own a 26 Acre Ranch in Centerville TX.   The ranch is home to 2 Percherons that he drives, 1 Belgian Draft Mare, which was one of his 1st drafts to drive.  Scott became involved with TDHMA in 2018 after attending his 1st event. He enjoys doing what he can to promote TDHMA as an enjoyable and thriving club, learning all he can from the wealth of knowledge the members have, along with the fellowship. TDHMA members have become in many ways family.  

Dick Curtis has been a member of the association since 1986. He and his wife, Carol, live in Temple, TX. He has had horses all his life, including Belgians, Suffolks, and Percherons, and also mules and a donkey. He has raised and trained Percherons for many years. He breaks and trains horses to drive. He attends most of the association events and especially enjoys trail rides and playdays. He was awarded lifetime membership in 2013.

Louis is married to his best friend, Christine, for over 43 years.  He was born in Louisiana into a horse family.  His first team of drafts were Belgians. He currently has a young pair of Haflingers.  The doctors told Louis it was best for his health, to quit riding horseback.  He decided at that time to build his first wagon.  Louis has been a member of TDHMA since 2013.  He enjoys all the draft events from showing, plowing and trail riding his team.  His greatest wealth is to participate in our horse events with his old and new horse friends.  He is passing this tradition and knowledge of horses to his grandkids with all his love. "If I knew then, what I know now... I would have been a cowboy"!

Bernard Kane lives in Somerville, TX.  He has been a member of TDHMA since he came to Texas in 2009.  Bernard has farmed with horses most of his life and has raised Belgians, Percherons, Mustang crosses and now Suffolk Punch.  Bernard is always willing to share his knowledge and help others learn to work their horses in an effective and safe manner. Bernard hosts a field day at his farm in Somerville every year.
